The Slayer of Kings andra själ.

    Samtidigt i Orgrimmar

Säsong 2, Guild Wars 2 vs World of Warcraft

    Del 1: New power

The Slayer of Kings had died in battle with the dragon Primordus (apparently her fire magic didn't work against a fire dragon as powerful as a god). But Guild Wars has a new champion. His name iss Luminor and he is a god in a human body. It is said that he always carries two tomes which hold his divine power, the tomes of Wrath and Mercy and that when faced with dire odds, he reads divine spells from them to smite his enemies or protect his allies.

One day, an army of unimaginable proportions was seen moving over the fields and grasslands towards the new human capital of Divinity's reach. As the alarm bells rang and the guards quickly tried to mount a desperate defence depsite being outnumbered 1000 to 1, a well known figure confidently walked towards the city gates. It was Luminor, a noble who became a guardian a few years ago and has traveled all over Tyria and slain countless beasts. He has slain a giant, a shadow behemoth (a terrifying giant demon from the underworld), the shatterer (a lieutenant of the dragon kralkatorrik), a megadestroyer (an incredibly powerful destroyer) amoung other things. He calmly walked up the stairs up to the top of the wall, where he met one of his allies, Ubaka, a powerful norn shaman with a primal connection to the elements like few other elementalists. Luminor looked out over the countless invaders and calmly said "It's going to be a long day." An archer on the wall who, like the other soldiers on the wall, looked terrified, said "Aren't you afraid? This isn't some stupid beast you can kill, this is an army and they outnumber us by I don't know how much!" Luminor smiled and answered "A fool knows no fear. A hero shows no fear." He the turned towards the gathered army of defenders inside the city and spoke. "This happened 250 years ago in the old Lion's Arch and we won! We will be victorious once again!
Before the beginning, there was only darkness. In the end, there will only be darkness. Light is temporary.

    Part 2: Payback

The leader of the invading force, which mainly consisted of orcs, who was a particularily muscular troll with a large glowing staff, shouted towards Luminor "Are you ready to die?! You and your miserable kind won't survive a horde invasion a second time!" and his horde roared "FOR THE HORDE!".
Luminor smiled and confidently said "I'm a god walking amoungst mere mortals, do you really think I care how much I am outnumbered?". The horde leader, named Paatte, grunted and said "Fine. If you won't realise you will die now, then maybe you will when my weapon is at your throat!" and then let out a loud warcry, signaling the army to attack. Luminor shouted "Defend Divinity's reach at all costs!" and the archers began firing at the invaders. Orcs and trolls fell in the hundreds as skilled rangers fired barrages of arrows but the horde seemed to not even care. Suddenly several thousand catapults appeared in the horizon and fired towards the human city. The first few rocks missed their targets completely and killed nothing, except one which landed in an alley and killed a rat. But then, suddenly a barrage of a thousand rocks or so hit the gate which collapsed, allowing the horde entry.

"Fight until your last breath! We will not lose to these barbarians!" Luminor shouted as he ran down the stairs. "They will know Tyria's power." he said as the warriors of Guild Wars came to defend the gate. Ubaka ran to the edge of the collapsed gate and called down a meteor shower on the invaders. But despite fiery rocks falling from the sky, they continued as if the damage of the meteors didn't mean anything. Suddenly several hundred trolls tried to hit Ubaka by throwing spears at him, but he conjured a magical shield that made the spears bounce back, killing a few trolls. He knew he wouldn't be able to withstand their attack for long though, so he followed Luminor's example and ran down the stairs. That was apparently a good idea, since shortly after he reached the bottom of the stairs the wall he had stood on collapsed due to focused fire from the catapults, forcing Ubaka to roll away to not be crushed under the rocks that had just been the proud wall of Divinity's reach. As he conjured a line of shaking, pointed rocks to stop the orcs from advancing, he retreated towards Luminor, who stood a bit away from the battle, discussing strategy.

The orc warriors pushed forward, their brute strength often being too much for the human guards. The human priests called upon the gods of Tyria to save them, but this time their prayers were not answered. No fire fell from the sky. The earth didn't rupture to swallow the attackers. And the beasts of the land didn't come to aid the defenders. The gods were silent and had been so since the dragons awoke. A human warrior wielding two axes heroically leapt into battle and started spinning around with his axes, felling a few orcs with his surprise attack but he didn't survive long as an orc threw it's axe at the human, hitting him straight in the head for a quick kill. Other humans tried to fire barrages of arrows at the invaders, but their armor allowed them to simply shrug off the attack. Guardians tried to smite the attackers with the little power the holy warriors could still draw from the gods, but despite felling several orcs and trolls, the attackers were relentless.

At the same time, something was hiding in the darkness. A creature neither human nor orc. Not even made of flesh. It was watching the battle, waiting for a time to strike...

    Part 3: For the horde!

Memsers tried to do everything the could to confuse the attackers, clones, mind magic, everything, but the orcs didn't care. Illusion or not, a Tyrian human was just another skull to bash in. Necromancers summoned unholy marks on the ground to stem the tide of orcs that were flooding through the fallen wall like a tsunami, but they weren't strong enough. When one orc died, ten took its place. Engineers built turrets, threw grenades and fired flamethrowers. One engineer built a mortar, firing explosive shells at the invaders. But nothing seemed capable of stopping the millions upon millions of orcs and trolls.

The shadowy figure moved from alley to alley, carefully watching the battle...

An unusually powerful orc warrior moved forward, arrows bouncing off his armor and his weapon cleaving through shields and armor. An elementalist called upon the primal forces of Air and turned into a tornado in an attempt to stop this warrior and managed to throw him into a building, but the orc mages had arrived and slew the elementalist with their powerful spells. Soon they would reach the heart of the city, The upper city, where the queen lived. The tyrian soldiers screamed "Luminor! Help us!"

At the same time the shadowy figure climbed to a roof and positioned itself for a surprise attack...

The orc invaders continued to push forward, despite Guild Wars' best efforts. Three guardians with greatswords teleported in and started spinning with their swords, slaying several orcs but they were soon dealt with by the orc mages.

Then from nowhere, a creature leapt down into the advancing orc force, it's feet became roots and connected with the ground. Several small weeds nearby grew to enormous proportions and started firing explosive attacks at the orcs. The orcs started attacking the plants and this gave the sylvari time to draw his greatsword and enter a battle rage. Glands on his face glew red as plant-based adrenaline started to flow through him and he cut the orcs to pieces, slicing their limbs off and cutting their heads in half. The strong orc warrior moved towards him but the sylvari stretched out his hand and from his fingers vines grew, which entangled the orc, who screamed as he tried to break loose from the magically enhanced vines. The sylvari then rolled back, pulled out a rifle and lined up a headshot, cracking the orc's helmet. As the orc broke loose, the sylvari fired an aimed show at a part of the orc's leg only protected by chainmail. As the orc limped forward, the sylvari laughed and lined up a killshot, firing an extra powerful shot straight through the orc's skull, instantly killing it...
